The Reform UK leader Claims Teachers of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “harming young minds” by instructing students that African-Caribbean youth are oppressed and white children oppressors.

During an event for a Michigan-based religious institution, Farage outlined his perspective on the UK education system, claiming that the “radical left-wing” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators very quickly after securing a victory,” he remarked during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They inform little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They are feeding this negative culture.”

Reacting to these assertions, the head of a major education union dismissed the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “nonsense”. He pointed out that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether the party would target these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his public life on coded rhetoric and currently, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their organizations for a conflict,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for students and learning.”

Reform, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and does not appear to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, his comments indicated the group would reform the system and the curriculum. He said: “We face an enormous task with education – absolutely herculean. And, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it requires years, years to turn this around.”

He stated that gen Z was more open to critical thinking, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, Farage said: “My goal for schooling is to teach critical thinking – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and you make up your own mind as opposed to current practices where views are labeled good or bad. This is a huge undertaking in the UK and US.”

Reform has previously clashed with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that our children should be poisoned through education, their thinking tainted regarding national issues” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people work in schools in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

National strikes over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years caused widespread disruption in schools and millions of days of lost learning for students.

At the US event, the Reform leader also pledged to help spread the online educational material of the institution in the UK. He said organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I am serious. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of young people to your online courses. I make that commitment now and I will follow through.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is vital for well-being and to maintain the benefits of freedom. The college furnishes these excellent programs for free to all who wish to learn.”
