Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who leaped a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or removed from Singapore.
A circulating clip depicts the Australian man pushing past photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.
Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains clips of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last year.
"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.
Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another comment on Instagram.
Some fans also faulted event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's content.
In videos shared widely, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.
Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.
Numerous of attendees had assembled in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it commenced.
The film, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the popular Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected relationship between two very different witches.
The show itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.
They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.
The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of last year in the UK, and earned ten Academy Award nods, securing several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
